Reviewing and approving

Open an episode to find your favorite moments. Suggestions are ordered by potential, and the filters let you switch between moments to review, selected clips, finished clips, and skipped suggestions.

The player shows the suggested moment from your original recording. It stops at the end of that moment. Once a clip has been created, the player shows the finished video with captions.

Choose Keep this clip to select a moment. Then choose a video format, caption style, and opening before selecting Create clip. Keeping a clip alone does not start creating a video.

Skip puts a suggestion in the Skipped view. It stays available; choose Undo decision · review again to retract the choice, or Keep this clip to select it.

Open Trim this clip and enter the start and end in minutes:seconds (for example, 12:34). Save your timing. Small adjustments snap to nearby word edges so words don’t get cut in half.

For a misheard word, use Caption corrections below the suggestions. Enter the original word and its replacement, then select Fix everywhere.

For a clip you already created, open Create another version after making edits. Your earlier version stays in Finished clips, and the updated video gets its own download. Requesting the same settings twice reuses the existing version.

Open Edit clip for a live preview, media panel, clip properties and timeline. Select a timeline section to trim its edges or drag it into a new position. Use Split at the playhead or Delete to remove the selected section. Undo and redo restore your earlier choices.

Space plays or pauses, S splits, Delete removes a selected section, and Ctrl/⌘ Z undoes. Shortcuts stay out of the way while you type. In Full frame, drag the preview to reframe the speaker, or drag its corner to resize a short emphasis. Framing and punch-in controls are also in Clip properties.

Choose No captions for an uncaptioned export, or change the style and watch the preview update. Open Strategies for source context and suggested editing treatments. Preview a treatment, compare before and after, then apply it or cancel.

The episode page explains when processing needs attention. Use Retry to continue from the step that stopped. You don’t need to upload the recording again. If a source website refuses the download, try again or upload the original file.

If a linked episode from an earlier version has audio but no picture, open Episode tools → Recover missing source video. This keeps your existing selections and does not charge source minutes again. If the linked recording changed duration, import it as a new episode instead.
