Team, roles and invites
The role ladder, seats, and what the audit log records.
Roles
Four roles, each a superset of the one below it. Every page and every route is gated on the same ladder — there is no second vocabulary of permissions to learn.

| Viewer | Read episodes, clips, the library and the team page; add review comments. |
| Editor | Everything a viewer can, plus add episodes, keep moments, edit clips, request review, render approved cuts, edit captions, translate and requeue. |
| Admin | Everything an editor can, plus invite people, issue API keys, manage shared styles, approve saved cuts and read the audit log. |
| Owner | Everything, plus billing. |
An API key can never carry the owner role, so a leaked key can never reach billing.
Invites and seats
Invite by email from Team. Invite tokens are stored hashed, are single-use and expire.
A pending invite holds a seat. Otherwise you could invite twenty people onto a ten-seat plan and discover the problem only as they accepted. The seat count comes from your plan, with the Stripe seat quantity as the source of truth for any you have added.
Switch between teams without losing your work
Accepting an invitation retains your memberships in other workspaces. Use the switcher at the bottom of Editorial workspace. Your selected workspace belongs to this browser session; another session can work in a different team.
Review a specific saved cut
Open Team review from a clip. Assign a teammate, request review and leave comments at clip timestamps. Administrators approve a saved revision or request changes. Edits invalidate approval; changes to caption text or the active brand also require a fresh approval before a required-review export.
A show or workspace style can require approval before exports. Keeping a moment is a shortlist decision, separate from approval. The review queue appears in Editorial workspace. Saved edit history can restore an earlier cut as a new revision, preserving the history.
